Fine Art Print Information

Douglas Carr's artworks are released as limited-edition fine art prints (Digital Graphic Artwork / DGA). Each comes with a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Once the edition for a specific size, material, and gallery-exclusive version is complete, no further copies are printed. All works are created by Douglas Carr using in-camera techniques he has developed over many years, with careful editing to achieve the final vision. No AI is used in the creation process.Materials & Finishes

Prints are produced using the highest-quality processes:

  • Fine art paper: Museum-grade Giclée on Hahnemühle Photo Rag or similar. Super-matt finish with excellent detail, muted blacks, even color reproduction, and a subtle cotton texture for natural gradients.

  • Aluminium (metal) mounts: High-definition prints infused onto Dibond® aluminium panels, protected by an anti-reflective layer against UV and humidity. Lightweight, durable, with a built-in rear frame for a 20 mm wall offset that enhances the presentation. Options include shadow box frames where available through galleries

Aspect Ratios
Prints follow the artist's intended crop (typically 3:2, 4:3, 16:9, or 1:1)

Editions & Availability
Editions are strictly limited per size, material, and gallery to ensure exclusivity and long-term value. Runs vary by format and partner:

  • Smaller and mid-sizes (e.g., framed works) often have higher editions for accessibility.

  • Larger formats (especially aluminium/POD) have lower editions for collector appeal.

All limited-edition prints are available exclusively through select Galleries:

  • Gallery Havstad (Drøbak): Framed originals and select mid-sizes – view and purchase in-person.

  • Oslo Art Company (online gallery): Large-format prints on fine art paper or aluminium, print-on-demand.
